'Missing' Racing Greyhounds
- The greyhound racing industry has made huge steps in improving the welfare for retired racing greyhounds. Read their side of the story here. Many breaders are responsible and have a love for their dogs, and make sure they go to rehoming charities, or keep them as pets once they have retired.
Read the
report from 'The associate parliamentary group for animal welfare', looking into the welfare issues surrounding racing greyhounds in England (May 07).
My personal opinion is that I will go to the racing when all the greyhounds are accounted for each year, and the industry is regulated.
They are great pets, and FAQs on greyhounds can be found
here- If you must go to see greyhounds racing, then at least go to a 'Greyhound Board of Great Britian' track (Belle Vue is a Greyhound Board track).

Really nice collars that look a bit different. Unlike some other fabric collars, these ones can be a 'martingale' style, meaning they can't slip their collar when they see a cat! They work very well. Fast service and each collar hand made to your supplied measurements.
